Our Curriculum

Our school curriculum spreads across three levels:

1. Day-care and Play Centre: [1-2 years]

The training at this stage is a syncopation of play, music and fun because these are the ways through which children grasp mental concepts. Activities that train the children to socialize and prepare their bodies for reading and writing are conducted at this stage using the most attractive and child friendly approaches.

2. Pre-school – British Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) [3-4years]

At this stage, basic academic training starts and is organized in seven areas of learning which have equal value and importance. These include Personal, Social and Emotional Development; Communication and Language; Literacy; Problem Solving, Reasoning and Numeracy; Knowledge and Understanding of the World; Physical Development; and Creative Development Art and Design. Literacy training follows the British Jolly Phonics methods.

3. Accelerated Christian Education (ACE) for Grades 0 – 12, [4 years and above]

ACE is a Bible-based curriculum which conveys biblical values and concepts that shape interpersonal relationships and productive learning. Instruction is individualised to cater for the individual differences of children and is non-graded. Children are not rated based on general class performance but on individual levels of achievement until they master subject content, which makes learning the responsibility of the child. The ACE curriculum was developed in the USA in the 1960s when many students in the conventional education system were not performing at their grade levels. This prompted the ACE Ministries to design this Biblically-based educational program geared to meet the learning needs of the individual child. The program consists of self-instructional, Godly character-building, individually prescribed, mastery-based curriculum and The core curriculum provides students with academics (Math, English, SST, Science, Bible Reading, etc), skill building, reading practice, character and wisdom training, and knowledge of God and His Word. Each core subject consists of 12 PACEs per level from pre-school to Grade 12. A PACE (Packet of Accelerated Christian Education) is a bite- sized booklet of learning material, similar to a chapter in a textbook. Together with the parents and teachers, students project their majors and elective courses at the end of the 9 th Grade, which must be completed in Grades 10-12 before receiving a College Entrance Certificate. The majors include Math, English, Life Orientation, Religious Studies, Life Sciences (biology), Physical Sciences (physics and chemistry), History, Geography, Accounting, Business Studies, Engineering Graphics and Design, Computer Application Technology, Arts and Culture, and Tourism.

Non-core (expanded) curriculum and co-curricular activities

Our non-core curriculum includes electives in various areas like foreign languages, public speaking and other skills. We also have a number of physical and skills development activities that complement classroom-based learning. These include physical development programs; Off-campus field sports for older children (8 years and above) such as swimming, football, basketball and volleyball; Music, dance and drama; Art and Crafts and Home Economics.

Our Philosophy

Education should include all three levels of the learning process, which include knowledge, understanding and wisdom; with God’s character being the source of all three. Therefore, education should be God-centered. Read More
